School
Uniforms
School uniforms can
be purchased through the True Grits Uniform Company (http://www.truegrits.com).
Our school code for the web site is JPS161. The mandatory school uniform
requirements are:
White polo shirts with
John Paul II logo are preferred but white polo shirts without a logo are
acceptable. A green or blue polo shirts must have John Paul II logo. Any
hair ribbons must be in uniform colors.
P.E. Uniform
- All students will
wear P.E. shorts and John Paul II t-shirts purchase through True Grits
on P.E. days. Nun Run T-Shirts are also acceptable for P.E. uniform
and may be purchased at the school office. Cost: $10 for Adult sizes
and $8 for children sizes. During the winter navy blue sweats and John
Paul II sweatshirts may be worn for P.E. days only. Sweatpants are worn
only on P.E. days. P.E. uniform will be used only on P.E. days. Please
note: P.E. and uniform shoes may be the same.
Religion Uniform
- Girls - uniform jumper
or skirt with white polo shirt, black, white or combination black/white
shoes (no logos in any other color) and white socks.
- Boys - uniform navy
pants with white polo shirt, black, white or combination black/white
shoes (no logos in any other color) and white socks.
- 8th grade boys only
- white oxford shirt and tie with navy blue long pants, black shoes.
Uniform may be required for special days, even when it is a P.E. day.
Jackets
- Navy blue only. (no
logos of any kind except John Paul II)
- Plain navy blue zips
up sweat shirts are allowed. (no logos of any kind except John Paul
II)
Shoes
- Black, white or combination
black/white shoes (no logos in any other color) with white socks (socks
must cover the ankle).
Daily Uniform
Girls K-5th
- John Paul II jumper
with green, navy or white logo shirt.
- White polo shirts
with a school logo are preferred but white polo shirts without a logo
are acceptable.
- Navy uniform shorts
during fall and spring months. Hair bows must be in uniform colors.
- Black, white or combination
black/white shoes (no logos in any other color) with white socks (socks
must cover the ankle).
Boys K-5th
- Navy uniform pants
without patched pockets (Cargo pants not allowed) or navy uniform shorts
with green, navy or white logo polo shirt.
- White polo shirts
with a school logo are preferred but white polo shirts without a logo
are acceptable.
- Black, white or combination
black/white shoes (no logos in any other color) with white socks (socks
must cover the ankle).
Girls 6th-8th
- Green, navy or white
logo polo shirts and John Paul II uniform skirt or shorts (navy or khaki).
- White polo shirts
with a school logo are preferred but white polo shirts without a logo
are acceptable.
- Black, white or combination
black/white shoes (no logos in any other color) with white socks (socks
must cover the ankle). Hair bows must be in uniform colors.
- During winter months
the P.E. sweatshirt and sweatpants may be used.
Boys 6th-8th
- Navy or khaki uniform
pants or shorts without patched pockets (Cargo pants not allowed) with
green, white, or navy logo polo shirt.
- White polo shirts
with a school logo are preferred but white polo shirts without a logo
are acceptable.
- Black, white or combination
black/white shoes (no logos in any other color) with white socks (socks
must cover the ankle). High top tennis shoes must have white socks visible.
No canvas tennis shoes allowed. Black or brown belt.
Good Grooming
Girls
- Hair should be clean
and will combed, not hanging in the face and covering the eyes.
- Hair dying is not
allowed.
- Cosmetics may not
be used at any time. (Make-up, nail polish, false nails, etc.)
- For safety reasons,
jewelry of any kind may not be worn at school, with the exception of
girl's studded earrings no more than one on the lobe of the ear.
- Nails should be short
and clean at all times.
Boys
- Hair may not be more
than 3 inches in length anywhere on the head and not touch the collar
of the shirt.
- Hair should be clean
and will combed, not hanging in the face and covering the eyes.
- Hair dying is not
allowed. Boys who have facial hair must be clean-shaven everyday.
- Spiked hair is not
to be over one inch or shaved - Mohawks are not allowed.
- Nails should be short
and clean at all times.
- For safety reasons,
jewelry of any kind may not be worn at school.
